Safari: Serengeti National Park (Time to head home)
Our last day in the bush unfolded like the final chapter of a beloved book: an early wake-up with golden light spilling over the acacia trees, one last slow drive watching elephants amble across the plain, then a bittersweet transfer to the small aircraft that lifted us back toward Arusha. From the window the landscape shrank — endless savanna giving way to patchwork farms and distant hills — while we traded stories and photos, already nostalgic. In Arusha we treated ourselves to a leisurely break and a satisfying lunch at a hotel. We left with sunburned noses, countless memories, and the quiet certainty that this great adventure had changed us forever.
Safari: Serengeti National Park (Soroi Lodge)
The Serengeti is bigger and better than ever as we transition from the cozy Ndutu Camp to a true 5-star experience at Soroi. If you’re given the choice, take Soiroi—it’s worth every moment. Just be warned: the elephant above was not thrilled about me snapping his photo. No joke, he actually chased us down! I had to yell, “GO GO!” to Anthony to make a quick getaway. Come along and share in our adventure as we explore the wild heart of the Serengeti in style and excitement.
Safari: Ngorongora Crater (Ndutu Camp)
Our last day in the Ngorongoro Crater was nothing short of spectacular. We started with a hearty breakfast at the lodge, . As we headed toward the Ndutu Camp well outside the crater’s edge. We embarked on one final game drive that gave us a magical encounter with a leopard perched gracefully in a tree—a moment that instantly became one of the highlights of not just the day, but our entire adventure. The Ngorongoro Crater National Park isn’t just about the massive caldera itself; it extends to the diverse and stunning surroundings outside the rim. The game drive combined with the short scenic drive to camp made for a perfect closing chapter to our unforgettable journey. Come along and experience this wild wonder with us!
Safari: Ngorongora Crater (Sopa Lodge)
The Ngorongoro Crater is a large, ancient volcanic caldera in Tanzania known for its stunning scenery and high concentration of wildlife, including the "Big Five" and the endangered black rhino. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is sometimes called "Africa's Garden of Eden" due to its abundance of animals and year-round game viewing. We searched all day for the black rhino and never found it, but don’t let that discourage you, come along and enjoy our safari.
Safari: Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park promises an unforgettable safari across varied landscapes—from lush forests to rugged mountains. Hang on—this adventure is just beginning!
Safari: Napoli-Italy to Arusha-Tanzania
Day 2 in Tarangire National Park brought more adventures as we encountered the rare red elephant, its dusty coat blending beautifully with the park’s earthy hues. The excitement didn’t stop there—we took a walkabout to a giant boulder that loomed impressively over the landscape, offering breathtaking views and a chance to connect deeply with nature’s raw power. Come along on safari and experience the wild wonders of Tarangire with us!
