Cairns 8-11 March

Welcome to Cairns Walk- Travel Day (8 March)

We left the Outback where the air was dry, the landscape red, and temperatures soared over 100 degrees, but it was that infamous "dry heat" everyone talks about. Arriving in Cairns was a complete contrast—the air was thick with humidity, the landscape lush and green, and temps hovered in the high 80s. Honestly, I found myself missing those scorching dry days back in Uluru. We stopped for lunch at none other than Crocodile Dundee's. Definitely not Walkabout Creek. Afterward, we took a walk around town, which instantly reminded us of a typical beach town straight out of the '80s, with a laid-back vibe and colorful storefronts. It was a quick indoctrination to Cairns, setting the tone for the tropical adventures ahead.
